Power Bar energy gels from my (marathon running) experience. Two is usually enough for that, and they are easy to carry. Sure it's not all in the mind? I need around 4000 calories to run a marathon for my mass, difficult to see how 200 calories from whatever source is going to do any good. (Plus I ...

My only suggestion is the Michelin regional maps, the 500 series . I have just noticed that the Portuguese and Spanish (593,575,576) regional maps have the campsites marked but the French one (512) does not.

Is it an Aluminium frame ? This happened to my old Indian Fire Trail . It would click when you stood up on the pedals and tanked it side to side. No amount of tightening cured it. I put in a new shimano B Bracket with some thread sealant ! and there it remained until I got rid of the bike. No more c...

New to the world of lightweight tents I have gone for the MSR Hubba fo my Portugal,Spain,France trip this summer. The groundsheet seems a bit thin for stony ground so will either get the extra footprint or some mypex from the garden centre - but it will need something under it.
