often find that roadies are the ones that ignore you also if I am not in club colours and lycra !

I have to say I aggree with Kwakers I have very little problem while out riding mind you I do not wear lycra or a helmet. I ride in rural and town and city areas I wait at most red lights not always. As I say I have very few problems also I wear my headphones and listen to tunes as well on my commut...

well I think its could be a man thing going back in time when we needed fire although could be I am just a bit odd and like the idea of a fresh brew when out on my bike or fishing intead of a flask.

Car 15min to 25 min dependant on traffic 10 miles
Train 10 mins and 15 min bike ride and 5 min to station
Cycle 55 mins 12 miles
Bus dont have a clue do they still run buses in the country !

Most annoying thing is that it costs more on the train than by car !

Not sure if any of your are fishermen but Chris Yates is a bit of legend in fishing circles he still fishes with cane rods etc all simple stuff he also writes articles in magazines. and bit of a tea expert as well I know he uses a kelly all the time think more due it being different but I have heard...

On my cycle home from work its mostly very rural however the last bit I come into the Town where I live often cars will cut me up a bit trying to squeeze past me etc it make me chuckle as I get into Town there they all are in a key. I think they are the best tyres I have used I do commute quite alot and its 12 miles each way one litte rough section but the rest on the road and also I am no lightweight.
Only had a couple of puntures as I recall famous last words bound to get one now

I think it depends on how you feel really and the mood I never drink and drive but do a like a pint or two if I was just out for a nice ride in the country then I might stop for a pint and almost always do if somewhere new as this gives me a chance to find out about local life to some exten interest...

I see Boris is in a spot of bother when on radio 4 he stated that he see no problem whatsoever in drinking a pint or tow while cycling' I have to share his view that I also often enjoy a pint of two or perhaps three when riding.

I am planning on doing a trip around Northern Ireland and follow the sustrans route I wonder if any other members have done this route. I have booked train and Ferry to Belfast which I got a great deal on.
So any tips I guess take the waterproofs !
