Re: Internet shopping

Well, I contacted http://www.tredz.co.uk - they answered the phone immediately, and requested photos of the damage to the chainstay, from where the loose chain was rattling about in the box, and the missing bar end plug. They're going to send me new bar end plugs and a carbon fibre chainstay protect...

Re: A90 Dundee -> Forfar cyclable ?

It's possible, and legal, but I wouldn't recommend it. People often speed on that road, and the first section uphill leaving Dundee in particular is dangerous. If you can cope with another 5 miles, how about this: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Dundee,+Dundee+City,+UK&d...

Internet shopping

When you sign for something, make sure to write "not checked" or something to that effect. I didn't, and then opened the box to discover all was not well... I'm going to give the retailer a chance to sort it out, so I'll name no names yet.

Re: another try on the correct forum

Is it me, or is the head tube 10 degrees steeper than the seat tube? That can't be right, can it?

I don't wish to think about it ........

Re: Give me Five !!

I know we're still running this thread, but its been hard for some of us to join in because of certain letters. Malcolm and I posted one group but we're restricted now to only two more sequences KLMNO and LMNOP because of difficulties with J, Q and (as Gaz knows!) V how about the next game focussin...

Re: Ten seconds solid on the horn.

To provide a bit of balance, I have continually been impressed by the behaviour of the vast majority of modified cars. Of course, the exhaust is far too loud, as is the stereo, but they seem content to sit behind me and only overtake when it is safe to do so, crossing the line entirely into the othe...

Re: Give me Five !!

Thanks for the clarification folks! With any luck I shouldn't have to go all the way to Johnshaven, but if I do, I'll make sure the bus isn't in the picture! Isn't that the main purpose of folders anyway? I don't have a car, so it won't be in a boot. I'll start on Saturday, and may have all five, or...

Re: Advice on cycle parking/bike shed

Send plenty of emails, letters, phone calls. Keep records. Then get a mate to steal your bike from the rack. Racks not fit for purpose, security risk. Also, if there are access problems, you could consider a back injury - these can cost an absolute fortune! Failing that, spread caltrops in the parki...

Re: Give me Five !!

Hello peeps, my name's Richie. I'm new to the forum, though I've been lurking for a week or so. I should be able to get I,J,K,L,M easily enough, but it depends on the precise rules... There is a Cross of Jackston, which I'm pretty sure has a sign, and a Jackston, near me, which may or may not have a...
