I wonder whether it's worth de-registering folk if they stop posting for 12 months. It would clear the lists of unused names etc. As far as I am aware this forum belongs to the CTC. ianr1950 often annoys me the way he leaps to the defense of motorists, but on this occasion I am in full agreement with him.

I read an excerpt recently from a very well researched French book (Forbidden Truth, I think), which put forward evidence that the war in Afghanistan started as a response to 9/11 - but that 9/11 was a pre-emtive strike after the Americans offered the Taliban a deal of "a carpet of gold" ...
