Thanks. I've now downloaded the updates, got the maps out and made the decision to travel from south(probably Malaga)to north. I like the idea of quieter tracks when available so my 26"Hewitt tourer will maybe be a better choice than the lighter road bike I have used away before.
I'm planning to do this in September and was looking at incorporating some of the routes featured in the Cicerone guide by Harry Dowdell particularly the route between Madrid and Bilbao and also any opportunity to use the via verde. I am a shetland resident and fly with my bike regularly. Flybe have recently taken over the route and I must admit have made a bit more fuss especially regarding the 'stand-by' issue as well as introducing a £10 charge/journey.
