It varies considerably. Which sections were you thinking of riding?

Re: Europe 2022
Mmmmm... Good question.
I have a voucher left over from a cancelled Easy jet flight so I am going to use that before it expires. Portugal looks favourite.
I would also like to re-visit Belgium for the excellent cycling. No ferry anymore to Zeebruge and its logistically difficult to travel from Manchester to Flanders. There are some cheap flights to Brussels but I'm reluctant to book anything under the present circumstances.
This virus has certainly changed things!

Re: Orro Terra Hydro 105 Nice bike Abysmal Customer Relations
I have had my Orro now for one year and am generally pleased with it.
The ride is very comfortable and the bike was well spec’d and good value for money. It is now my go to audax bike and an excellent winter bike.
Internal cabling is a good idea but becomes difficult when you have to re-cable parts.
Bottom bracket is a press fit which is not ideal and I have had to replace it after one year.
However, recently Orro has been let down by its abysmal customer service. A request for replacement parts specific to the bike have been unanswered after three emails, telephone calls not returned and a letter to the MD ignored! Best to avoid if this aspect is important to you when things go wrong.

Re: Valley of Stone cycleway
You can ride this from Healey Dell up to the top at Britannia. You can then turn left and pick it up again but it puts you back on the road about halfway down the Britannia Climb. Then left at the T junction at the bottom and after a couple of miles you can turn left off the main road on to the cycleway again. No sign post I'm afraid. It then takes you through two tunnels but throws you back on the main road at Waterfoot. From there its all main road to Rawtenstall.
No sign of any further work being carried out to link it all up

I'd recommend Benidorm . Costa Blanca has the best Spanish Winter sun record. Accommodation and eating out are cheap and the cycling is First class

Re: CTC type plastic Bike Bags Lidl
No you're right the Lidl bag is more of a cover but I guess you'll get away with it as a cover with most airlines except Ryanair!

Re: CTC type plastic Bike Bags Lidl
Just been down to Aldi. They do indeed have some (well one) bike bag in. They are substantial, like a padded bag only no padding. It depends how you want to use it. They would not be good for carrying around in your luggage to use on the return flight as they are too big to carry around (unlike the Lidl bag)

CTC type plastic Bike Bags Lidl
Just to let you know that Lidl are selling the plastic CTC type bike bags for £3.99. Useful for touring by air with a bike. Marked with a cycle, good quality and much cheaper so there should be no complaints from the Airlines???

Re: 58cm THORN AUDAX - Chris Juden's 1997 review model
I have bought and sold many items on this forum and have meet some very nice people when doing so,
Somehow I cant really get my head round the idea of " sealed bids" "blind auctions" "make me an offer" "look at in on ebay"
Does anyone think we should have a policy, like other forums, where you should have to state a price for your item? After all it could be price or " nearest offer"

Have a look at the Malvern Site or West Runton for Norfolk. Loads to go at and pleasant riding

Re: Osteoarthritis
It may help it if you could build up your muscles around the knees to stabilize them.
I have started to do squats with a resistance band around my thighs. There are plenty of you tube videos to help you. Start out gently.
IMO, if its not too bad, Glucosamine may help but its treating the symptoms not the cause!

Re: Jumping on a wheel...... musings....
The most annoying one is where they sit on your wheel without an acknowledgement . You then tow them all the way almost to the top of the climb then they come through and past you in the last 10 yards. Shows a total lack of Etiquette!
