Few goodies I bought last week, 2 sets of brooks plump grips to match my new saddles and have a honey flyer special I am waiting for, some nice new vintage style alloy pedals, new tektro sl750 levers for both bikes, a side stand removal tool as bike needs stripped completely for paint or powder, more to come!

Which one is going to get the treatment? I'd personally go for the Major for the strength of the forks, but if you can get get the Series 1 forks rebrazed they're reputed to be almost as strong. I needed to spring the original forks just a bit to fit in the SA hub and was rather alarmed that it was like bending wet sphagetti  The Series 2 forks are much more solid.

Yup the major is getting the works, the speed is nice as is so just had a few alloy bits added and brooks saddle and grips as the speed is a little rarer and good condition, the major i bought as seen with already a full green respray and an extra set of new bars, i may swap the nittos with the other alloy bits straight on to the major and put the major chrome parts on the speed as the chromes in very good condition. Found Bob Jacksons webpage today and the prices are very good for a full respray so may get the major done by a pro and get the braze on cable guides and bottle bosses done at the same time.
