Postby iainb » 27 Mar 2016, 10:08am

Hi folks

Can anyone advise me of the best (ie quietest) route to get from Norwich station towards Wymondham.

Thanks and regards

It depends which part of Norwich you are leaving from but the B1172 from Cringleford via Hethersett is ok.

Don't know about crossing Norwich but once out to Cringleford I'd go

There is a footbridge over the A47 so you don't have to go through the A47/A11 roundabout (but the. And then it's beautiful virtually empty country roads, straight and flat and at no extra distance.

Thanks for the reply folks. I live near Colchester and what I intend to do is get the train to Norwich (only 8 quid in advance) pick up the NCR 13 near East Harling and ride that home. Normally i could just about do that in a day but after a bad winter healthwise and not enough miles under my belt I'll break the journey near Bury and potter home from there. Any further advice (including place to stop) welcome!

Regards

8 quid? I did a search the other week and found I could get an advance ticket from London all the way to Sheringham and back for just £10 or so!!!!
