Internal frame corrosion protection

Post by mill4six »

What can/should I do to the bare inside of my new steel frame to keep rust at bay before I build it up?

Think we've been here before chaps, could someone point our fellow traveller in the right direction ?

or is it really a problem?

My main ride is currently a 20 year old chromo frame which in its earlier years was kept in less than ideal conditions.

Not aware of a problem so far.

My newest 531 frame is 30+ years old, no internal corrosion issues at all .... wd 40 spray into the main tubes and rear triangle every 12 months and the vent holes in the rear triangle kept clear
