Need a reasonable courier, UK-Ireland.

Post by wheel71 »

Hi, I need to get a bike (in a box) from the UK over to me in Ireland. I'm having trouble getting a realistic quote. Does anyone have any ideas or experience on this? Cheapest I got so far is £90.... ...... seems a bit much to me.

Thank you. They are about half the price of anyone else so far. £45 for anyone who may need to know.

You could try https://www.parcel2go.com/

They seek quotes from a wide range of courier firms and if nothing else give you an idea of the cheapest price you might expect to pay.

£28.78 Because a bike box is so big this gets classified as an oversize package. However breaking it down into two smaller packages (wheels and frame) this gets the price right down. You also then don't have to worry about stuffing wheels in next to the frame with potential of damage in transit.
There is also a slightly more expensive option of using Parcelforce but you can just drop the packages off at a post office of your choosing as opposed to waiting in for collection.
Here are the measurements and quotes via interparcel.
