Does anyone know of suppliers of padded underware with button flies or Y-fronts?

Endura do some but without the fire escape. How would a Y front and pad work? I have a pair of Endura, but to be frank I haven't used them in ages because my bib shorts and shorts are vastly superior.

Gotta ask why you need the front opening in undershorts OP.

What's wrong with just pulling the inner down at the front?

Shouldn't be hard/problematical unless you are considering serious corsetry.

Aldi current have padded under shorts for a fiver - maybe good for you if you can forsake the front portal.

Vulpine merino padded underpants would have fit the bill, but sadly they have just gone into administration. I expect Rapha also do similar, although in both cases they are not renown for being at the cheap end of the price spectrum

I have some Altura progel padded undershorts and find them very good. Pulling the front down isn't a big deal - no worse than any other shorts and easier than bibs.
