Winning Magazine

Post by Valbrona »

Can anyone please help? I am most upset.

You will need a good collection of 'Winning Bicycle Racing Illustrated Magazine', and the willingness to do a bit of homework.

I think a former partner stole my most precious cycling magazine - a malicious act.

But I could be wrong.

It is an old copy late 1980s/early 1990s that features a report on the Tour of Lombardy by Kenny Pryde. He opens it by saying he hasn't been to the race for a long time, but it is still as good as ever type of thing.

I have other mags with reports on the Tour of Lombardy by Jeremy Whittle and Rupert Guiness, but the special one was by Kenny Pryde.

I just need the date/edition number, and someone to give me a jist of Kenny Pryde's story.

Thanks.
I should coco.

Just had a quick rummage through my assortment of these fine mags and enjoyed the homework :D However no joy re your quest.
There was a Lombardy report in the December '88 copy, as such you might strike gold if you are able to source a December '89 or '90 copy.
Actually I'd forgotten how good this magazine was. Certainly bashes current tosh like C+ et al into the weeds..............

Thanks.

Maybe I'm just going bonkers.

I had in my mind a report on the Tour of Lombardy by Kenny Pryde ...

The mag sent a different guy each year to do the race.

Still doing my homework on this.
I should coco.

Why don't you ask Kenny directly?
