What do you do with old rims?

Good for holding bean poles up. 4 poles and a screw through 4 spoke holes.

But if they are badly worn then maybe they won't take the stress of a pumped-up tyre? Mine would bend outwards when I pumped the tyres up until I replaced them, I would think that the rims would give way sooner or later.

Re: What do you do with old rims?
I have used old rims for bean support otherwise they go for recycling.
I also tend to cut a section out of them, so if I am running the same type of rim again I have a really good indication of exactly how much metal is left and how far I can push before replacement. If you cut a section where the rim label is then you won't forget what rim it is too.

They weren't that bad - I checked the thickness with a Iwanson gauge. I use 25mm tyres so I pump them up to about 90psi.
