Train Santander to Segovia

I need to travel from Santander to Segovia on 18th September 2017.

I read on the Seat 61 Web site, that the new rules on Renfe allow bikes with handlebars turned and possibly pedals off. You also have to book your bike. Anyone know how you book your bike online, and or recently been on Renfe? I can't see anything on Renfe site to book your bike. My Surly will be fully laden. I can't find any info on fully laden bikes.

If they ask me to dismantle anything else I'll probably hire a van to get to Segovia on time, as I have a wiring loom and front and back racks on.
