Ladies' jackets size 18 and above

Post by PAB855 »

Does anybody know a supplier of such an item which is waterproof, high viz yellow and which could be worn all year round so needs to be big enough to allow for a fleece underneath in winter, yet ok for summer use without
This topic appeared in 2012, but even a supplier mentioned then, cycle-clothing.co.uk has all of the colours in all of the sizes, but not waterproof, just water resistant, which isn't what we want.
There's plenty choice in all the regular outlets and brands if you are a size below 18!

Altura Night Vision Women's waterproof jacket is available in size 18, in fluo yellow

I have similar problems getting men's clothing to fit.

You could also try Fat Lad at the Back (who also do clothing for the larger lady)

Thanks TrevA, that's one I missed. Should be worth trying.

Interestingly i checked out the FLAB site, (cos they have some glorious innovative kit at present) but do not appear to go up to 18, so, although it does not affect me, I feel your pain as one who has frustratingly found it difficult to find anything in women's kit over the years....

Only on certain styles do they not go up to 18 (I suspect old stock where they have sold out of big sizes). On some other styles they go up to size 26 for women, and 54 inch chest for men. Long live FLAB!

Take your point but the OP wanted waterproof / hiviz, not windproof and the only waterproof jacket only lists sizes up to 16 and even then it is out of stock. :D
