a good reason these are being sold" cheap" - already mentioned the batteries are like hens teeth and cost as much

How many charging cycles, 500 x 3 hours minimum, call it 5 to split, that 2500 hours use as a minimum, the vast majority would struggle to use a light that many hours in 5 years (based on 2 hours every single day winter, spring, summer, autumn). in 5 years time the likelihood is they'll be giving them away for peanuts as they've been superceded.
I just found an older battery run Sigma lightster for £7 brand new in packet.
I was just given information because it was mention in the thread, I've not said the light is any good in any case and I've already given my personal recommendation.
