Hi there, I'm a newbie on here and a fairly new cyclist.
I'm going on 2 holidays this year where I'm hiring bikes costing around £3k. I'm liable for the loss/theft/damage/accidental damage to them. Is there anywhere I can purchase insurance to protect me from this?
I've tried my Travel and Home Insurance who don't and wont cover me.
Thanks
Bike Hire Insurance?
Re: Bike Hire Insurance?
I'd expect the rental terms to specify a maximum amount like https://www.seahorsebikerental.com/en/t ... conditions does, so I'd just make sure I can borrow that amount quickly enough to pay off the credit card if I do total all the bikes. It would be annoying if it happens, though, so I can understand someone wanting to insure against it.
I looked at Lexham, TSB and Yellow Jersey - I think the first two explicitly exclude hired bikes and the third is unclear.

Have you spoken to the bike hire company? I hire from a place in Majorca and accident cover is 10 Euros a week.
