reasonably priced Brooks

Postby SimonCelsa » 5 Feb 2018, 8:38pm

Planet X have a bit of a deal on the B68 if they float your boat.

Short and stumpy some people find more comfortable.

Anyway, seems to be a pretty good price?

All the best, Simon

It's a B66 without springs but not the woman's version. The one on sale is 260mm long whereas the woman's version version is 240mm. I know because I bought one. It's more comfortable than a B17 with bars slightly above saddle height. They've gone up in price - 34 quid when I got mine about three months ago.

Well the description in the link states 240mm "A classic, wider back leather saddle from Brooks. With the same top shape as their popular B66 but without the spring hardware. perfect for modern city and commuter bikes.
Lenght/ WIdth: 240 x 205mm
Weight: 512g"

Maybe the one you bought was different.

Well unless my Moore and Wright rule is wrong(unlikely) it's 260mm. I reckon they've got the description wrong - not unusual with Planet X.

I bought the saddle alerted by the post. Its a very nice Brooks at a reasonable price and comes with a sample sachet of proofide. I can confirm its 260mm long and seems ideal for my touring bike use. Love Brooks saddles and happy to get this one at a reasonable price. Planet X have always delivered me good service and prices.
