Retro Clothing

Post by smep »

Perhaps not technical but please does anyone know where I might possibly find 1960's style tracksuit tops/plus fours/ cycling apparel.
Thank you,
Steve.

Your local high street trainer emporium will probably sell suitable retro-looking track tops (Adidas/Puma/&c.) Otherwise somewhere like http ://www.tudorsports.co.uk ?

Good stuff, I think they use an actual time machine to get the stuff.

Google any of the jersey names from here http://www.rondeshop.be/en/clothing/retro-clothing/ and all sorts of options will come up.

Was looking at a Tudor Sports ad in the mag today. Just like my 80's stuff.
I am wearing a wool cardy/tracksuit top thing from Planet X. Wish I could find another.

+ 1 for Tudor Sports.

I've just ordered some "York" tights. Hope they're as good as the ones I had when I started club cycling in the early 90's. They lasted a very long time!

They got replaced with a similar pair from Lusso, but I can't seem to find that style anymore on the Lusso website.

Another +1 for Tudorsport. I recently bought some York tights. These are pretty much the same as the Gibbsport ones I bought for cycling to work when I started work in 1977. They are not as tight fitting as Lycra or Roubaix tights, so more suitable when walking through an office upon arrival at work. They are also just as warm as my Roubaix tights.

I also had some Lusso ones in a similar style, bought from my LBS, but they don't make them any more.
