Shimano FC-T551 chainset spares

Post by busb »

Hi
I'm trying to find a 48t 104mm BCD 10sp outer ring for my triple. Ordered a 36t & 48t but the 48 was 9sp so after some argument, managed to get a refund having confirmation it wouldn't work very well with a 10sp chain. I can get a complete chainset from Germany for 101 Euros but just want the chain ring. The bike isn't even 5yrs old (Ridgeback 2013 Flight 03)! Any ideas?

FC-T671 from Rose. May be worth checking tech docs for compatibility. SJS have the same in silver or black.

This might be compatible but no specific mention of 10 speed.

lots here

of which some are 10s and should work OK for you, eg to fit FC-M670 should work OK I think.

cheers

My thanks to you both!
Have ordered an FC-M610 ring. SJS specifically mentions the M551 as being compatible. My relief is great. Some folk were saying my best option was to fit a road double. I have a KMC 10sp chain, 11-28 cassette, 36t middle & soon, a 48t so can leave the front mech where it is. Also have new jockey wheels & SS inner for the rear mech.
