Cotswolds Outdoor discount problem

Post by TerryField »

I'm trying to buy some panniers from Cotswolds Outdoor using the Club discount. I have the discount code, but when I try to use it on the Cotswold website, the website doesn't recognise it.

Anyone had any experience of this?

Thanks

Three possibilities spring to mind.

1. It's a sale item, further discounts do not apply.
2. You are using an old discount code. Link to current code, you'll need to be logged in on the Cycling UK site.
3. Selected lines are exempt.

Other possibilities may exist  .

Gaz, thanks. I have the correct code. I guess I will have to wait until next week to ring them

Thanks

Being a cynic I'd check the price for the item somewhere else ....

I get the discount from them from another activity membership - but never use them as it's always cheaper elsewhere even after their "discount".

That link doesn't show what the actual code is (you have to contact Cycling UK).

The promotional code for members discount for online purchases is [moderated - this is a public forum]

The promotional code is for Members only, Cycling UK do not publish it in the public area of the website.

After following the link Cycling UK Members can log in to view the discount code.

Nice shops but I can believe that. So I agree with the inference of your post that the cyclinkuk "discount" is no great benefit.

Far more useful is the fact (well it was recently) that Cotswold have a price matching policy.

I did use it once.

Would you suggest that their £50.00 discount price for a sleeping bag liner is high  (I popped into a Cotswolds Outdoors at the weekend; my budget was £4.99 for a sleeping bag liner, though I may go to £7.99 if I have to pay full price elsewhere)

Does anyone actually pay full price in Cotswold Outdoor? As well as Cycling UK, I have three other memberships that offer me a discount (although my CAMRA membership is only 10%)

The mind boggles. A £100.00 pint at Cotswolds Outdoors :?: (Though obviously a 10% discount would very beneficial)
