A lot of caravanners are very precious about their "units". Putting something potentially dirty and oily like a bike inside it would be anathem to them.....

Also I know of someone who did so without adequately securing the bike.... it moved and smashed into cupboards... damaging them and bike. I tow caravan with a van... bikes are well secured with bungee cords and packed with old curtains inbetween to reduce movement and damage to each other.
