Bike Hire Shops in Blackpool

Post by Donaghmore36 »

Hi there

I will be in Blackpool with my wife from Thursday 9th to Monday 13th August as my granddaughter in taking part in World Dance Masters Championships. I would like to get in a couple of bike rides during that time, probably in the Friday and the Sunday and was wondering in anyone knows a bike hire shop in Blackpool where I could hire a bike for a three day period.

Will be staying at Cherrytree House Palatine Road Blackpool if this helps with a possible local bike shop.

Thanks

Do not know about any hire shops as it is not a commonly done thing in Britain like abroad but you might want to try talking to these guys

Just recently set up, have a cafe etc

Hi

There is a Bike Hub with a branch of Leisure Lakes Bikes at Preston Railway station. The blurb on Virgin website mentions bike hire is available but guess you would need to contact the shop directly for specifics.

If you just want to pootle about town then this from a quick search:

https://www.bikeandgo.co.uk/the-bike/

Looks like it would be hard going to cover any real distance tho'!

Thanks for this and don't look to be located far away from where I am staying - although certainly not an elite cyclist which they seem to cater for

Thanks for the response - agree that distance might be a problem with these bikes

Are you two people who've not ridden them? They're Raleigh Amsterdams - not lightweight sports bikes but they've got enough gear range to do real distances if you can.

Hi
No I haven't ridden one. I assumed they would be the sort of cycle that would get you from A -B on an unchallenged landscape i.e. most of the Fylde Coast .
If they are better than that I stand corrected and the OP can book a bike in confidence
