Can you explain how these people support/endorse cycling?

I know Andrew Mitchell, Cameon and Lord Sugar are cyclists themselves, but Aaron Banks? Mike Ashley?

I would add Paul Smith to the list - a member of Beeston Road Club in his youth, and a big fan of Mercian bikes.

No, it was a genuine question. I kind of get Mike Ashley and Muddy Fox/ Tri UK, though he's hardly a major player in the UK bike business. I'd put Chris Boardman above him.

And I can't identify Aaron Banks from your link.

Chris Boardman has not contributed to cycling in a financial way,and is a net beneficiary, having traded on his gold medal in the TT at a distant Olympics. He was poor in the TDF.Mike Ashley is anet contributor, and is Mr Newcastle to Boardmans Mr Halford or Senor Carrera.Boardman has put his name to some horrid bikes for a bob or two is he is a sell-out.Arran Banks is shy about the cycling side of his nature and thisb explains his reluctance to be seen close up minus helmet,If you look closely you can make out the letters PIKU on his shorts!
