Quick look on google street view, if you continue on past that car parking area there appears to be other similar ones... where are you staying the night before? Ask if you can leave the car there?

No need, Achnasheen (population: 41) has a train station, besides, the vehicle might be damaged or stolen

It looks like the sort of place where you will be spoilt for choice for parking spaces. Exercise the usual good manners: don't park in front of a house or where others obviously normally park, don't obstruct anything, and all should be well. The chances of crime will be next to zero.

I think that’s an insult to the people of Achnasheen.
Very recently a car was left on the side of the road near to me. I used to pass by it a couple times a week. It was eventually towed away 5 weeks later and AFAICT with everything still intact. No wheels stolen, no windows smashed, not even window wipers removed.

If you go on the train someone could mug you and steal your bike. Train stations often tend to be situated in the less salubrious parts of town.

Achnasheen is in the middle of nowhere - tiny and very quiet. I once saw the empty post bus parked right on the level crossing there - obviously making sure that it didn't miss the connection!

Exactly, sounds like a terribly lawless place probabaly best give it a miss altogether and stay at home.

Ah but if you look at the crime statistics on that page vehicle crime is almost at twice the Scottish national average! It's amazing what statistics small numbers will throw up.

There's a disused petrol station at the east end of the loop down to the station. It's even still got the canopy to keep the rain off your car.
