Okay, question is this.
What are the risks/problems with running a chain 1 link too short? I currently have a pinned chain but want to remove one so it allows a quick link. Makes it easier to clean and maintain.
What adjustments would i have to make e.g. b-tension screw? Or will it all work fine with no problems??
Thanks

Re: Chain length
You just remove the outer plates, which is no more difficult (in fact easier as nothing to rejoin after wards) than removing a whole link of inner and outer plates. Then your chain remains the same length.

Re: Chain length
as Meic says the quicklink replaces a half-link with outer side plates on it.
the chain is exactly the same length as before once the quicklink is installed.
cheers
