Soonfire FD38S front light

Post by MarcusT »

I just picked this up on the Black Friday sale. This light is BRIGHT. It is brighter than car headlights.
It seems very solid and a little on the heavy side, the mounting hardware seems robust and they even include an extra USB cap. So far I am satisfied, but need to use it on the road
Anyhow, on to my question.
Does anyone have one and can tell me how long the battery lasts in usage and in life?
I have seen a few videos, but they never really revealed the battery durability.
I wish it were as easy as riding a bike

How long battery lights last is dependant on how old the batteries are, the temperature and how honest the manufacturers claims are.
In the Autumn I charge mine, turn them on and see how long they last (at home not out on the road).

BTW these look like Cree LEDS that lots of different lift manufacturers/assemblers use.

They are not directional (other than forwards) and tend to dazzle anything and everything coming in the other direction.
