Voodoo MTB 2016 Front shock rebound

I've recently fully serviced the full bike and noticed the rebound the shock is just spinning and not shortening or lengthening to return time of the shocks and it has a rattle like somethings loose of fell out and squeaks anyone have a clue whats going off as I've never had this issue before and I'm a little scared to attempt to take them apart, Any help would be massive
