Cycling gifts and merchandise

Cycling is now up there with fishing, golf wine and steam trains in the greetings cards and gift shop world.

What’s your favourite bit of cycling related merchandise? Owned or aspired.

I’ve got a 531 and a 753 mug which I like (but not dishwasher proof). I did buy a Reynolds track top, but I’m not over impressed with it. I’ve seen Reynolds cushions (other designs too) - EBay Australia I think that was.

I was looking for a cycling related tie - 99% of them that I’ve seen are pretty obvious in the design, as are all the socks. I don’t especially like the one linked below, at least not to the extent of its price-tag, but he’s tried to mix up the theme a bit:

I ride in ordinary clothes, but even I don't often cycle wearing a tie!

I think I've had a nice mug, then what I remember are more obviously cycling products: a good front light (carried as a spare after I upgraded, then lent to someone to get them home and I've never seen them or it again ), two decent puncture kit toolboxes (with so-so contents, but really good sizes) and two good cycling jackets (one summer lightweight, one thermal).

What other sorts of things have you seen?

I really really don't like high street prominant, brand-lead merchandise of the sort that offers nothing that an un-named product could. I leave that to the 'sheep'.
Having said that I am fond of one particular sheep: I have a collection of Mint Sauce items. I love Jo Burt's artwork. I have 3 different cycling tops, a t-shirt, several calenders, a couple of posters and a set of drinks coasters.

I have a model Ordinary, tried to buy some playmobil cycles at a jumble sale but could not agree a price there are several different models, girls bike, mountain bike, must try again
Otherwise got a lot of cycling books and magazines, I learnt to read at school but the first stuff I enjoyed reading for fun was the touring reports in the Gazette and Cycling Weakly, cross race reports, Gambling, Coulson, Knottley, Mr Staff, Mr Hughes, the writing was better about 1973 I think

Many (most?) 'cycling' gifts fall into the category of 'tat with a picture of a bike on'; there's only so many mugs, socks, notebooks etc. that I need, and I'm picky enough that I'd rather choose them myself. The range of stuff at https://www.cyclemiles.co.uk/ seems better than most, or there are various artists that sell prints/posters and the like on Etsy and other marketplaces. As trinkets I've got a soft spot for the little metal cyclist models made by Fonderie Roger, but on the whole I'd rather have something useful as a cycling gift - a new tool, new bits for the bike, bike clothes etc. Books, too - but there again there's a lot of dross published, much of which is I guess targeted at the Father's Day market.

I've quite a few mainly given to me as chrimbo prezzies from my mum.
A cup holder that says "I'd rather be on my bike" is my favourite. Because I would actually rather be on my bike

An unbreakable (some sort of plastic) Reynolds 753 mug accompanies me on my cycling brew ups. It seemed rather expensive when I bought it in Cycle Heaven in York a year or two back but I really enjoy using it. (I never got a 753 bike but they didn't do 531 or 725 mugs!).

I have been given two T-shirts with cycling messages on them. I wear them inside out, or with a jumper over them.
