... about VeloViewer Explorer squares?

Postby ChrisF » 22 Jul 2019, 3:00pm

I've recently discovered the VeloViewer 'add-on' for Strava, which, apart from providing loads more statistaics about your rides than Strava does, has an ingenious system of recording how many map squares you've covered - the challenge is to see how many you've missed, and how to fill them in! See https://blog.veloviewer.com/veloviewer-explorer-score-and-max-square/ for details. Since finding this and trying to fill all the squares in Cornwall (as far as possible), I've found some little roads and quaint villages I've never seen or heard of before.

A great way to explore, and nothing to do with the usual competitive element of Strava.

It is good isn't it and that is an impressive grid !

Couple that with some Trigpointing and it gives some real purpose to otherwise random bike rides.
