Poetry in motion is a rare slant, but the product itself included 'aero special' models which is a familiar concept today.

the shortcomings of chains were apparent long ago, but any fool could see that shaft drive was inflexible, expensive, heavy and inefficient, so the ad-man's blandishments didn't work 120 years ago, either

yes, you can be like Bazooka Joe on a flying bomb. Having hooked you with the image, the spiel reels you in by appealing to that basest of all emotions, one upmanship. The ad pushes 'more is more' but the reality is of course a 45lb clunker where, if you want to ride it, 'more is less'...

Some really nice posters. I wonder if it's possible to get a modern print of some of the older Raleigh ones?. I expect you can find an original at a big price but I just want one for my workshop wall.
