Bought Elite smart turbo trainer but can't connect to anything

Postby poorlittlefish » 10 Aug 2019, 4:49pm

I bought an Elite Supercrono smart turbo trainer from Halfords that comes with a Misuro B+ ANT/Bluetooth device, with which my understanding was that I would be able to connect to apps like Zwift and Bkool etc. It will connect to Elite's own (crap) app on my old iPad, but I want to cycle along to video/virtual reality footage. I can't get anything to connect on my phone, which is a Huawei Honor 9 Lite (so I can't cast anything to my TV). On my iPad the sensor is picked up by the Rouvy app, but the app refuses to recognise that I am pedalling and any route just auto-pauses. I am on the verge of admitting defeat, but just wondered if anyone else has encountered similar connection problems and how they might have resolved them - thanks.

If its the one for £96 from Halfords- it really isnt a 'Smart' turbo.

To connect to Zwift- I connect via Ant+ for all sensors and turbo with a PC.

Have you created a Zwift account and arrange payment?

Three sensors are cadence, HR and Power will give you a basic experience. A variable resistance like a Neo,Kickr, etc will give a much more involved experience

Yes, it was that one. I couldn't do anything I wanted with it so I returned it and got a proper interactive Tacx one instead. It connected to everything without a problem, so I had to spend a lot more money but it was worth it.
