:)
No, sorry, I wasn't, but I knew it would raise a comment!
Yes, I was right at the signposts.

Moulton was leaning on the finger post and I was standing on the plinth keeping my head away from the fingers as they are rather low.

The Victoria Inn in Pensilva was a brilliant pub back in the day when we went there a few times. Arthur was a the landlord and he was an ex merchant seaman. He and I chatted about a life at sea. :D
It was a Courage pub in those days, and we've probably not been in there since Arthur retired ......... maybe the mid 1990s.

However, on my way back on my 23.56mile ride with a total ascent of 2,734ft = 118.85ft per mile ............ I called in at spokes.tonal.petted for a pint and a chat with the lady behind the bar who we've known for 30odd years.

Home now, beanz on toast for lunch.

Seems to be middle of another road junction. Is what3words part of the temperence movement? ;)

Seems like the front door to me.
That's where I leant the Moulton and went in.

So different sites using w3w give different results?

Could it be that the one you used there, was "locked on road"?

My screenshot is from what3words.com themselves.

Also, useful.strutted.product put me here using what3words.com.
Not true.
Obviously the GPS puts me three squares left and three squares up from where I actually was ........... standing on the plinth of the finger-post.

Errors are everywhere!

Could it be that the satellite view is out a bit, and the GPS is out a bit too?
Wish I'd taken a selfie to prove it.

PS
It was spot on with spokes.tonal.petted

If the door of the pub to the middle of the road is not more than 3m, it could be the same w3w square.

Not as far as I can tell, because going to 52.4,0.3 correctly puts the arrow in the midst of a field near Ely.

Mick F wrote:My screenshot is from what3words.com themselves.

My screenshot is from streetmap. Does w3w only work correctly on their own website and apps then?

Bmblbzzz wrote:If the door of the pub to the middle of the road is not more than 3m, it could be the same w3w square.

Mick F's arrow in viewtopic.php?p=1389864#p1389864 seems to be 2 squares east and 4 north of his nearest square touching the junction where my arrow pointed.

When two implementations of what3words disagree, is there any way to tell which is correct?
