Up-rating tyre question

Postby Grandad » 28 Aug 2019, 10:11pm

I'm looking for a tyre that is easy to fit, easy rolling - and as puncture resistant as possible within the other requirements - to replace a pair of
Hutchinson Fusion 5 All SeasonTLR 700x28s

Michelin Pro4 Endurance v2

Have a look at bicyclerollingresistance.com for real tests both of rolling and puncture resistance.

Gatorskins are available. And a good medium cost option.

I've been using gatorskins for a good many years. I find them very good for puncture resistance.
The downside I find is that they can be a bit "sketchy" in the wet.
Last winter I fitted the 4 seasons and found the road holding in the wet is improved.
