What Model is this Pinarello?

Postby cn08ac » 1 Sep 2019, 5:47am

Hi!

Complete noob to road bikes here. Looking to make the step up from my single speed, and have been looking on Gumtree (currently I'm based out in Aus).

I've found a Pinarello within my budget. Struggling to figure out which model it is though. I've also been told it was bought as a 'clean skin' which is why it's bare carbon and without the Pinarello markings all over... They've said they think it's a 2015 DOGMA model, but looking at the curves and bends in the frame this doesn't seem to line up.

Any thought on model or if this is genuine would be greatly appreciated.

KR,
A

Looks like a 'Chinarello' to me - a Chinese copy.

Looks smoky...

If you decide to buy a used Pinarello via the INTERNET, and it is not possible to visit the seller, it is crucial you request the PINARELLO SERIAL NUMBER which is located under the bottom bracket. In addition request for a photo of this serial number and a copy of the Official Pinarello Warranty Documents. A quick cross-check via one of our Pinarello Points can immediately verify if the Frame is Original or False.

Thanks for the advice. A local dealership had confirmed it is a fake!
