For the many (or the few) who don't know what Zwift is, here is something to save you searching:

"What is Zwift?
Zwift is a turbo trainer game that enables you to link you turbo trainer up your computer, iPad, iPhone or Apple TV, letting you ride with other cyclists in a virtual environment, therefore helping to alleviate some of the boredom associated with indoor riding."

Ultimately Zwift and Peloton are both funded by massive amounts of venture capital. They're Silicon Valley companies whether or not they're based in Silicon Valley itself, if you see what I mean. (As it happens I think Zwift is headquartered in LA and Peloton in NYC.)

You could try RGT, which is British (https://www.rgtcycling.com), or VirtuGo, which is Danish.

Or, as Sustrans put it in a memorable advert, why use an exercise bike that's chained to the floor? ;)
