What are you going to buy when you get a refund, try another Garmin :) ?

I think Garmin have given up on the action cam market (may be wrong) which seems a pity, as their cameras seemed to have some nice design features e.g. GPS integration, the wee ANT+ remote.

IIRC the Ultra 30 came out nearly four years ago...

No way. I’ll have a look at some of the other suggestions. I’ll be taking it back tomorrow.

It’s probably for the best. It only lasted a couple of weeks before it went bang.

I got my money refunded with no fuss or hassle yesterday, so now I’ll be looking closely at some of the recommendations made here 8)

That is pretty much identical to the Garmin. So much so, I reckon it’s a rebadged Garmin, using the same internals, but constructed by a different manufacturer, as is common with tech stuff.

Were the operating instructions the same? Anyhow, for £40 or so, I will give it a chance.

40 quid is a bargain. It doesn’t matter so much if it does go bang really at that Price.

I've one of these. Not bad for the money. Runs for about 3.5 hrs on one charge. No problems when it gets rained on. Picture is not bad mounted on handle bars.
My two quibbles - the bar mount isn't the best ( I've made my own replacement). Every time I upload the vids to my pc it resets the date/time to 2015. Not a major issue but annoying.

Does it have a disc to upload drivers etc??

When my GoPro Hero died last I replaced it with this
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07 ... UTF8&psc=1

The results not quite GoPro but far better VFM and the mounts are compatible.
Does about 1hr40 per battery (2 are supplied) and can be externally powered, though not with the waterproof case fitted.

Akaso do a range of similar units, the cheaper ones don't have IS which IMO is essential for a bike cam - it copes pretty well under most conditions.
The weekend comes, my cycle hums

With regard to the Chilli-Tech Bullet Cam, my experience has been unhappy.
The money was charged with the order, not just before delivery.
I found the camera to be unsatisfactory when it eventually arrived.
I emailed - no response.
I used the online contact form - no response.
I returned the item, and have evidence of delivery - no response.
Today I called the number on the website - "the number is not in service".
Caveat Emptor!

Chilli-Tech has at last responded and is processing a refund. My doubts have proved groundless.
