Alas Rohan has gone the way of Karrimore, Mountain Equipment & Vango. They used to make good practical clothing for travellers and hikers that was in no way considered trendy. With key hooks zip pockets and extra padding on bits that took extra wear.

Will Carradice be the last remaining company that designs with experience or will that too be swallowed up by Messer's Bland, Gimick & Couldn't care less co. Ltd.

Rohan's sister companies Madison and Genesis are the brands for cyclists. Generally we'll designed, made and priced although I do possess a pair of their bib tights where the zip is so high I had to spend a fortune on penis enlargement therapy in order to relieve myself satisfactorily.

Rohan used to sell some good travel clothing (I've quite a lot of their older stuff). But these days when I get their catalog in the post (with offers) nothing of interest in it. Not as impressed as I was a few years ago. Very "average" (and expensive, even with the offers).

So, we see: clever inventor & entrepreneur, sadly missed... modeling natty Rohan jacket, New Series 'pylon' bicycle featuring hand-polished stainless-steel tube, British Leyland mini car, featuring rubber suspension, invented by his nibbs, all in front of stately, stone-built pile, home of said inventor, in Wiltshire, UK.
