Using old cleats
Using old cleats
I have just brought some Exustar stelvio and really like them. Being a bit mean is it ok to take the two bolt spd cleats from my old shoes and fit to my new ones as they look fine.

I would... unless they needed replacing anyway...

Check them against the new ones that come with the pedals, sometimes there is more wear on them than you think. Mainly the gripping part that fits into the clip and the other side that gets walked on a lot.

What has been said already. Plus make sure bolt heads are ok, new bolts aren't mega money and it's a complete pain if you round off the hexagon head , and an even bigger pain if you lose one on the road.
I would suggest new bolts and keep the old ones as spares .
I have transferred cleats to alternative shoes twice in the past, no problem at all.

Last time I swapped old cleats onto new shoes (& couldn't locate spare cleats in my bits box) I switched sides on the grounds that one side gets clipped in & out much more often (right foot in my case).

Yeah, lots. I also swap sides. Until the cleat rattles I consider them good and when it does I tighten things up a bit.
