Waterproof Trousers

Post by Grumpy-Grandad »

Any recommendations for waterproof trousers?

I want a pair that are quite a snug fit at the ankle and are breathable if possible.

If you mean overtrousers, then I really like my Endura ones. They have zips and Velco on the lower leg/ankle to keep everything snug.

As for breathable, I couldn't say. I don't sweat a lot around my legs, but they are comfortable, waterproof & nicely made.

If the question had been "What trousers to wear in the rain?" These from Showers Pass would have been my recommendation, though most sizes have been out of stock for a while

I've had a pair for a couple of winters and they've had a lot of use, although I can't say I've always been 100% dry, I have remained more comfortable in wet weather while wearing them than with anything else I've tried. With the added advantage of them remaining reasonable comfortable even if you end up riding for hours after the rain has stopped.

I had a pair of Rainlegs for a while.
Seemed ok and they worked well, but decent cycling tights were good enough, so I sold them.
