Agree.
QR can be either way round - front or rear.
With the QR lever on the right at the rear, it only makes it mildly fiddly to keep the lever away from the rear mech.
I ran with the rear QR on the right for a while. It was best like that when towing a trailer as the tow hitch bracket would have been fouled with the lever on the "correct" side.

Just ride backwardspuffin wrote: ↑3 Jul 2021, 10:21am I've just realised, after cycling quite a while, that my front wheel is on the wrong way round (the quick release is on the right so the tyre is rotating against the directional arrow). Does anyone know what effect (if any) this would have had on the bike? The tyre is a Marathon Plus.
Seriously though, I've ridden ridden on tyres that I've mistakenly fitted 'backwards' as you say, and not noticed - and only discovered after many weeks/miles and not had a problem. Just take the tyre off and re-fit in correct direction.

Right then following that, I'll clarify that my comment/post above refers only to road bike/tyres/wheels/type of cycling.CMAUK wrote: ↑31 Jul 2021, 2:08pm Hi,
