Gear housing? Or...

Post by john4ever »

Hi All,

Do you happen to know where I can find this "cable housing"?
I have literally 5 cm of this housing sticking out of my carbon frame (probably only to prevent the cable from rubbing the frame). I found out when I changed the cable that tiny bit is connected to the bottom guide and the rest is sticking out the frame. While this bit of "housing" is damaged I thought I will replace it.

Do you know where I can buy this? It's very thin piping almost matching the diameter of the gear cable.

Photo attached.

Bike shops have it. Internal routing gear cable sheath. Online too.

I have sheaths in my other bike, and the diameter is bigger, so it made me think it's something different...

We have two diameters of sheath in our bike shop. One for gears, the other for brakes.
