My Barry Hoban frame is 531 with 501 forks. It fits 700c wheels.

Going to stick with my fusion MTB which I have put on wiggle 40mm commuter tyres on.
It's a good retro mountain bike - tange tubing.

Mine has an awful blue paint job and not the lovely burgundy one in the thread above.

No they never did to my knowledge, I met Barry at Calder Clarion evening when he turned up with a load of Gear Shorts and shorts for sale, in the mid 70s. Funnily enough my dad new Arthur as well, Although Dad was COSA and not NUM.thirdcrank wrote: ↑26 Oct 2021, 12:04pmDid they ever meet more recently? Your dad might have wondered if he'd learned to talk proper at the same place as Arthur Scargill

If it's not clear, I was alluding to elocution. When Johnnie Walker used to do the Radio 2 Drivetime programme, he had a feature where listeners had to identify a clip of a voice. I only rang in once, when I was utterly and totally convinced that the mystery voice was that Keith Hellawell, who was at the time in the news as Tony Blair's drugs tzar. He was a former miner who may have been to the same elocutionist as the owner of the actual mystery voice, Arthur Scargill.
