Flying to Cuba

We are planning a touring holiday in Cuba in Feb 05. Martinez ( part of KLM group) want to charge us £56 each way for each bike! How can they justify charging us when bikes are included in our luggage allowance?! Anyone recommend an alternative airline for this trip?
