help in trying to remove part frozen seat stem
Re: help in trying to remove part frozen seat stem
In the worst case knock the post down the seat tube and leave it there.
You'll never know if you don't try it.

Easy option: framebuilder or good local bike shop.
Hard option: hacksaw blade to make three longitudinal cuts, collapse it in on itself.

If you have access to a workbench and vice? Turn the bike upside down, assistant needed for this, clamp post in vice then turn the bike around the post. The extra leverage created by the bike frame may lossen it, lift the frame as you turn, gradually turning and lifting, hopefully it will pop out.

That was my idea at the beginning of this thread, but it's a tandem. Bit more difficult with a vice!

You just need a few willing assistants and a large work space. Have a BBQ, invite some friends round, and hey presto! job done.
