le Pellerin - le Port Launay Ferry

Post by clapshoe »

Next Spring two of us are planning to ride EuroVelo 6 west east using the le Pellerin - le Port Launay ferry. I understand it's free (is that true?). Can anyone help with details of crossing times?

Thanks ColC

every 20 minutes
Free will be correct. It's because there are large ships going up to Nantes, which means moderate sized bridges aren't possible. The Seine is the same downstream of Rouen.

Just turn up and wait, there's a shelter and even loos. If around rush hour you'll have a large queue of traffic to overtake on the approach road, don't wait as it goes on for half a mile so scoot to the front and take a seat.
