having recently signed into the forum i was surprised that such an easy to remember relevant user name bikerider was available instead most of you go for a series of unreadable irrelavant letters and numbers am i clever

No, everyone starts with bikerider and then change to something else when they get bored with it. 8)

Bikerider is a good name, Mick F is a better name!

It's a fine name - it doesn't really say anything but it doesn't have to.
I was feeling like a small whale the day I set mine up.

The trouble is you need user names and passwords for everything. Sticking to the same ones for everything doesn't always work so inevitably at some point most people end up using initials.
A bike does more miles to the banana than a Porsche.

True. Own names rule. But when I first joined, I thought Mick F. Cornwall was someone called Mick Cornwall!

Some years ago, when I first joined this forum, I always signed of as "Mick F Cornwall". More recently, I placed it in my signature.

I should insert a comma but it wouldn't look right.

I use pq because those are my initials, I like the symmetry and lots of people call me that anyway. Not random at all.

My forum name is based on my love of measurement systems.

Although on first meeting a forumite in the flesh I have been accused of being Spanish.
