What would be a fair price?

Postby fullfathom5 » 28 Mar 2011, 7:10pm

A friend of mine is selling a 2007 Dawes Galaxy that has been upgraded to include a new rear wheel and Tiagra Sti. Apparently, it has only done 300 miles. What would be a fair price to offer?

Thanks.

You could try tracking a few galaxies on ebay to get an idea of price. I'd be suprised if something like that went for less than 400-450 GBP

wow.. 400 - 450? .. My personal guess would have been much closer to half that..
Either way, good advice.. hunt around Ebay or Gumtree.. see what they're going for...

Much older Galaxies can achieve £200 on eBay. I reckon £400-450 sounds reasonable.

Given it's got expensive STI gears and a new wheel I would have guessed at £500 myself
