Hi
I have just been given a pair of these for Xmas and very nice ethey are too, except that they have come with no mounting hooks (or mounting instructions for that matter). Does anyone know if this is correct? I have only ever bought 2 previous sets of panniers and both came with appropriate mounts, the Orlieb ones being very effective. I note that I can buy Carradice mounting hooks (http://www.wiggle.co.uk/carradice-klick ... ier-hooks/) but I don't expect to have to buy them separately.
I'd be grateful to know if they are they just missing from my package, or are they not included with the standard pannier.
Thanks

Ihave only ever bought three Super C panniers (one pair, and then a single to replace one lost / stolen.) All came with the fittings.

I've bought several Super C panniers: front ("universal"), rear, and bar bag. They all came with the appropriate fixings. Which type of panniers did you get?

All the fittings including the hooks should be included. Contact them and explain - Carradice have first-rate customer service and will send you what you need (free, of course). Normally they would do it by return but there may be a slight delay over the holiday period.
They are great panniers, BTW - I have used them for years.

I've decided that the brand new 17yr old bag I've got needs bringing into service, a courier bag stops the cooling air going down my jacket. I just need to find somewhere local with a Tortec Velocity or Ultralite rack in stock.

Re: Carradice's Super C panniers
Never caught up to why the single pannier is deemed an abomination.
When I rode with luggage, I never bothered with two panniers if I was traveling light and one was sufficient for the days hauling.

+1... Never caught up to why the single pannier is deemed an abomination.

Re: Carradice's Super C panniers
surely, if you cycle with only one pannier you'll just go round and round in circles

Thanks all for your help.
Unhelpfully, the panniers were bought from Wiggle who seem unable to just send me the missing bits and are asking for me to return the panniers so they can send out a complete set. A right royal pain in the botom (I had originally typed the good old Anglo-Saxan word ar*se but the monitoring software removed it- don't you just hate being forbidden from using perfectly good, if archaic, terms for body parts? Was anyone offended by ar*se?)
Such is the modern world of stock control.
Cheers, and wishing you all a happy New Year when it comes.
