Chain slip

I was just reading this article

It appears this unfortunate lady has had the chain come off her single-speed bicycle.

Luckily she was able to put it back on without getting too oily.

However I can't help feeling that better maintenance would prevent this.

Can anyone suggest for those of us in a similar position, what best to do?

It always amazes me the extent to which fashion distorts the shape of things.......
....the bikes wrong for her, too.

ps where's the front brake - is this roadworthy ?
At the last count:- Peugeot 531 pro, Dawes Discovery Tandem, Dawes Kingpin, Raleigh 20, Falcon K2 MTB dropped bar tourer, Longstaff trike conversion on a Falcon corsa. :D

What a sorry state the world is in when a newspaper prints garbage like this. When I buy a newspaper, I want real news - not a picture of some inflated bint pretending to fix a bike which has nothing wrong with it. I'd expect this from a celebrity ego-massaging comic, such as Hello, but not from the British press.

From a restorers point of view, that definitely needs lubing with baby oil :)

I remeber reading the story the guy made the shoes for his girl friend and then she dumped him. P erhaps she prefered Look style cleats
